New Container Design Evaluation

An evaluation consists of a review of drawings or models for new containers or modifications to existing containers, providing guidance for where potential failure areas are located.  Jim’s experience has given him a great insight into what will work and what has a high potential failure rate.

Supplier Qualification and Audits

With the current economy it is very hard to keep a qualified person on staff just to perform audits or qualify new suppliers.  Once the supplier is qualified and the audit complete, what do you do with that person?  Qualification or Audit work is done on an as-needed basis, reducing overhead.

Qualifications are typical for first runs of new containers or new suppliers and involve visiting and reviewing the processes and specifications during these runs.

Audits can use your existing format or we can develop an audit program that meets your needs.  Jim was a lead internal auditor for ISO-9001 certification at his former location and the ISO management representative at two other locations.

THIRD Party evaluation of Existing issues

If you are unhappy with a supplier’s response or are not getting any help, RJ Dobson Consulting can be your advocate.  Jim has been involved in numerous quality issues with suppliers and customers over the years and has extensive knowledge in handling and resolving these types of issues. Typically a fracture analysis will determine why a container failed and what the actions should be to prevent recurrences.  An evaluation could lead to disqualification of a supplier and assistance with finding a suitable replacement.  Issues might even be created by your operation, in which case we’ll help work out a plan to correct those issues.  Either way, there will be a resolution to your problem.

Supervision of Re-Sort and RE-Pack Operations

When a problem occurs, we can be there to deal with the glass supplier and assist your operation with the logistics involved to arrive at the desired outcome.
